I often come to your blog and just listen to the music in the mornings as I do my computer stuff.

I'm struggling a lot with contentment in several areas of my life the past few days. Your post has caused me to, once again, go back to the Word and focus on Christ. Thanks for the encouragement to spur on to our higher calling.Beth Cooknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5680635067175653143.post-21643699678106884782009-08-26T06:27:04.865-07:002009-08-26T06:27:04.865-07:00Tracy, I am so blessed by your post. I'm ashamed of how much I'm like the stubborn and whining Israelites. I too easily forget the provision, the miracles, the providence of the Lord.
My beloved and I have been musing lately on trust and contentment in our precious Father. The many experiences he has brought us to, and through, have forced us to confront the things He would have us rid from ourselves. He makes us confront our anxieties and learn what He really means by contentment and trust. He molds us and makes us more like the image of His dear Son - not to harm us, but to do us good and to bring glory to Himself.
There is a favorite line from a Rich Mullins song (Hold Me Jesus):
"I'd rather fight You for what I don't really want than take what You give that I need." That line always gets me because it is so true.
Blessings to you, dear sister.Beth Cooknoreply@blogger.com
